Hello everyone,
My name is Dominique Allen and I'd love to tell you the history of
JAD Custom Engraving.
My husband Jack and I met in Jr high, dated in high school and finally married in March of 1983 and in over 40 years were still going strong.
Jack grew up working on ranches in Northern Arizona and has a long family history in the ranching industry in both Texas and Arizona.
Jack and his father Jack Allen Sr started team roping when he was in high school.
Jacks dad started engraving in the early 80's after winning a trophy buckle and upon further inspection he thought "I bet I can do a better job then that" and that's where it all began.
Between jobs Jack and I were in Winslow, Arizona where he learned the engraving trade from his dad.
Allen Engravers was a very respected trophy buckle business back then and he worked with his dad for 6 years. After much thought and heart felt feelings they closed the buckle business in the early 90's.. At that time Jack went to work for the Santa Fe Railroad for the next 22 years while I was a surgical tech and luckily found great places to work everywhere we moved.
We decided to start JAD Custom Engraving wanting to make heirloom quality jewelry with attention to detail, quality and customer service. We hope our jewelry is passed down for generations to come.
In 2020 Jack needed help and I finally decided that I wanted to learn how to engrave and started silversmithing first and with the help of my husband and my father in law I also learned to engrave. Haha thank goodness they were patient! Anyways that's where I come in. My husband Jack has decided to retire but I want to keep the business going so I am the sole owner of JAD Custom Engraving and I promise to continue to make beautiful jewelry engraved in the traditional western bright cut style for years to come.
I appreciate you all and I thank you for your business.
